In its 34th year, this six day intensive retreat provides a safe opportunity to set aside everyday concerns and examine the female self in both the personal and professional world. We address issues of women’s elemental sameness and, at the same time, all of our visible and invisible differences. This program truly reflects the complex concerns of the world we live in; and, we are proud of having developed a learning experience for women which meets the times and still has a thread into deep history.
This advanced seminar is for experienced practitioners currently working in leadership positions in all female groups. It is an opportunity to take a critical look at the field of group dynamics and deep diversity work in a community of women. This is an occasion to strengthen your sense of agency and political activism as a woman who works on behalf of social justice. Come consider the state of your practice. 5 Day Introduction to Experiential Astrology.
Hope Springs, Ohio
, our five-day experiential retreat has been offered for 7
years now. Time-tested and found useful by many, this work is both for beginners
in astrological thnnking, intermediates and people more faqmiliar with the
world view. The work is hard, fun and lasting.
is based
on the laws of nature and the cosmic order. The organizing principles
are both ancient and modern in that each astrological chart reveals
the uniqueness of that individual, the particular brilliance of
the diversity that she represents, and her place in the larger
benevolent order of the universe. In the ancient nights before
history was written, our foremothers studied the night sky and
made meaning out of the patterns of stars and planets. They projected
this benevolent system of meaning of the early cultures onto the
night sky in story form. Over time they organized these patterns
of meaning into a system which helps individuals understand both
the patterns and the meaning in their lives. Astrology provides
a challenging and forgiving lens through which to look at your
life and the unique patterns of diversity, difference and oppression
that you are encountering as well as issues of personal brilliance,
activism and collaborative potential. A woman who is fully living
her chart is manifesting her soul's mission in this life. A feminist
study of astrology offers a strong and gentle cosmic support to
a small, ordinary, individual life.
